Rationale:
|
By Resolution 15.15 dated February 26, 2020 the Board authorized the award of contract 2020-0628 for Architectural Services to Fuller & D’Angelo, PC. (F&D) for $1 million and three years.
This resolution is to assign the subject capital work per the attached emergency declaration for “Storm Damage Window Stabilization and Repair” at the PEARLs Hawthorne School issued by the Superintendent on August 8, 2021. It was estimated that the overall cost of this project to be in the range of $200,000 to $250,000.
F&D’s scope of work will include conducting surveys of existing conditions and drawings, prescribing repair scope of work to contractors to perform repairs, inspect progress of work and file with the State Education Department.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: under Resolution 15.15 at the stated meeting on February 26, 2020, the Board of Education authorized the award of Contract 2020-0628, an On-Call, professional Architectural/Engineering services contract to Fuller & D’Angelo Architects and Planners, P.C. in response to District RFQ 313 “Architectural & Engineering Services for the School Facilities Management Department” for an amount not to exceed $1 million, and
WHEREAS: architectural and/or engineering services as specified under Contract 2020-0628 are required for the “Storm Damage Window Stabilization and Repair” at the PEARLS Hawthorne School Emergency Declaration, and
WHEREAS: F&D demonstrated that they were capable and ready and qualified to provide the architectural/engineering for a fee not to exceed $22,500.00 for a term of 180 calendar days.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to assign Fuller and D’Angelo Architects and Planners, P.C., Road 45 Knollwood Road, Elmsford, New York 10523, to the task of providing professional Architectural/Engineering Services for “10923 Storm Damage Window Stabilization and Repair” at the PEARLs Hawthorne School Emergency Declaration to Fuller & D’Angelo, PC under an On-Call contract No. 2020-0628 in an amount not to exceed $22,500.00 for a term of 180 calendar days.
