Rationale:
|
This is to authorize the award of a general fund annual service contract for BID 6747 “Plumbing Maintenance & Repair Services” to NY Home Maintenance Co. Inc. (d/b/a A. Borrelli), in the amount of $178,300 for a term of 365 days.
Bids for RFB 6747 were publicly advertised, received and opened on April 1, 2022. Total of 4 bids were received with the highest bidder having a bid of $289,430. School Facilities Management conducted reference checks and a contractor pre-award interview and are recommending NY Home Maintenance Company, Inc., as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
This is a new service contract to provide on-call plumbing work and annual mandatory gas service line testing in 9 buildings. The contract has a provision for renewal up to three years by mutual consent under the same terms and conditions for the plumbing maintenance & repair services for throughout the District.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: in compliance with NYS General Municipal Law 103, bids were duly solicited, opened in public and read aloud on April 1, 2022 for BID 6747, and
WHEREAS: four bids were received with NY Home Maintenance Company, Inc., being the lowest responsive and responsible bidder at $178,300.00, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Superintendent of Schools is authorized to enter into a contract for Bid No. 6747 “Plumbing Maintenance & Repair Services” to NY Home Maintenance Co. Inc. (d/b/a A. Borrelli), 147 Wheeler Avenue, Pleasantville, NY 10570 in the amount of $178,300 for a term of 365 days.
