Wilson Language Training Corporation (Fundations and Just Words), Title I supplemental and progress monitoring materials. Term: 2024-2025 Amount: PD-$97,900.00/Supplemental Materials-$608,145.44 = $706,045.44 Account: Title I Carryover, Pending NYSED submission and approval. Scope: Purchase of supplemental materials and professional development for K-2 teachers in Wilson “Fundations” early literacy program and “Just Words” word study program for elementary and middle school grades for school year 2024-2025. This purchase includes paper and digital materials for all participating classrooms and on-site and virtual professional development for all participating teachers.

Resolution:

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Wilson Language Training to purchase consulting services, goods and supplemental materials to support literacy instruction for the 2024-2025 school year, WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Wilson Language Training a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and, WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Wilson Language Training to provide these services and purchase these supplemental materials, and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Wilson Language Training at a cost not to exceed $706,045.44. It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel's Office.
