B-Boy Entertainment LLC/London Reyes Term: January 2025-June 2025 Amount: $7,500 Scope: The purpose of the presentation by London Reyes is to inspire and empower students by sharing his personal life story, demonstrating how breakdancing and the support of his community helped him overcome the challenges of growing up during the "Bronx is Burning" era, surrounded by gangs and the crack epidemic. The presentation will also highlight how breakdancing became a gateway for London to travel the world and enter the entertainment industry. It will connect these themes to My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) values of mentorship, resilience, and community involvement. Additionally, it aligns with Milestone 3: Graduate from High School and Milestone 6: All Youth Remain Safe From Violent Crimes.
