Term: 547 calendar days
Amount: $234,500.00
Scope: To provide Pre-Construction and Construction Management Services for the Capital Project 10878, Phase 3 of 3 of “Roof, Doors, Boiler Replacement, and Site Upgrades” at Westchester Hills School 29.
Overview:
To assign Triton Construction under their existing “On-Call” Construction Management Service Contract No. 2022-0602, for Capital Project 10878, Phase 3 of 3 of “Roof, Doors, Boiler Replacement, and Site Upgrades” at Westchester Hills School 29.
CIP 10878 includes parking expansion; new exterior doors, exterior lighting, heat plant & controls, windows, signage, flooring, ceilings & lights, ADA toilet room upgrades, high-tech security and emergency generator. Project cost was estimated at $11.9 million.
Due to the size and complexity the project is broken down into three parts over multiple years:
Phase 1 is completed; includes new exterior doors, high-tech security, parking lots, toilet room upgrades, PA upgrades, emergency power and requisite asbestos which totaled $4.7 million.
Phase 2 is substantially completed and includes heating plant replacement, HVAC and classroom vinyl asbestos tile abatement which totaled $5.2 million.
Phase 3 will include new windows, replacement of select classroom ceilings & lights and new emergency generator targeted for summer 2024 construction and is estimated to be $3.5 million.
Triton Construction had acceptably provided construction management services for Phases 1 & 2.

Resolution:

WHEREAS Via Resolution 15.23 dated March 16, 2022, the Board of Education authorized the award of an “On-Call” Professional Construction Management Services contract to Triton Construction Company, LLC in response to District RFQ453 for an amount not to exceed $1 million, and
WHEREAS the response by Triton Construction Company, LLC to request for proposal by the Facilities Department to provide construction management services to the above capital project was deemed most advantageous to the District at a cost not to exceed $234,500.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to assign Triton Construction Company, LLC to the task of providing “On-Call” Professional Construction Management Services for Capital Project 10878, Phase 3 of 3 of “Roof, Doors, Boiler Replacement, and Site Upgrades” at Westchester Hills School 29 at a cost not to exceed $234,500.00.
