Rationale:
|
NYSED requires all public-school districts to complete the Fire Safety Inspections and staff training on a 11-month interval, although it is referred to as the “Annual” Fire Safety Inspection” and applies to all 55 buildings that are owned, operated or leased by Yonkers Public Schools.
CCI has performed this work effectively for the District intermittently since 2013. This change order provides a means to perform this year’s annual fire inspections.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: By Resolution 15.16 dated February 26, 2020 Contract 2020-0575 “Annual Fire Inspections", was awarded to Code Compliance Inspections, Inc., for $44,400.00 and a term of 365 days, and
WHEREAS: By Board Resolution 17.4 dated December 16, 2020 the contract was extend for one year for $44,400 increasing the contract to $88,800.00 and term to 730 calendar days, and
WHEREAS: By Board Resolution Item 15.20 on January 19, 2022 the contract was extended for the second time increasing the contract to $133,200.00 and term to 1095 calendar days.
WHEREAS: a third amendment is required to complete fire inspections for coming reporting period in the amount of $12,500.00, increasing the contract to $145,700.00 and no change in term.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to enter into the 3rd amendment to Contract 2020-00000575 “Annual Fire Safety Inspections” to Code Compliance Inspections, Inc. for $12,500 increasing the contract to $145,700.00 and no change in term.
