Rationale:
|
By Resolution 15.8 dated September 21, 2022, Contract 2023-00000349 for “District-wide Window & Door Glazing” was awarded to Suburban Sunrooms Inc. for $94,500.00 and 365 calendar days, with the provision for renewal for up to two additional years by mutual consent under the same terms and conditions.
This resolution is required to pay for additional work replacing broken glass panels at:
William Boyce Thompson School for an estimated $2,809.95, Barack Obama School for Social Justice for an estimated $5,729.90 and $2,834.95, Roosevelt High School – Early College Studies for an estimated $4,234.95 and $2,834.95, Rosemarie Ann Siragusa School for an estimated $6,156.72, School 30 for an estimated $5,069.90, PEARLS Hawthorne School for an estimated $12,789.80 for a total of an estimated $50,724.94.
The current contract 2023-00000349 will have a balance of $19,082.12 after payment of outstanding invoices for $5,643.87. The total estimated amount for required additional work is $45,081.07 exceeding the remaining funding by an amount of $25,998.95.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: By Board Resolution 15.8 dated September 21, 2022, Contract 2023-00000349 for “District-wide Window & Door Glazing” was awarded to Suburban Sunrooms Inc. for $94,500.00 and 365 calendar days and
WHEREAS: A change order is required for the replacement of broken glass panels throughout the District for a total of $25,998.95 with no change in term.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to approve Change Order 1, Amendment to contract 2023-00000349 for “District-wide Window & Door Glazing” awarded to Suburban Sunrooms Inc. 83 East Main Street, Suite 8, Elmsford New York 10523 for $25,998.95, increasing the contract from $94,500.00 to $120,498.95 with no change in term.
