Scope: Work includes replacement of existing stone retaining wall vestibules at the exterior exits from the School 16 gym and classrooms, waterproofing of all foundation walls and footing drain improvements.
Overview:
In compliance with General Municipal Law 103, bids were let and opened in public on May 17, 2024. Three (3) bids were received and reviewed. The bids were duly examined and all due diligence observed in determining that Abbott & Price, Inc. is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The work was designed by Fuller & D’Angelo Architects. The highest bid was $477,715.00.

Resolution:

WHEREAS bids were issued for public advertisement and opened on May 17, 2024 in compliance with General Municipal Law 103 for Bid No. 7143 General Construction Contract, for the “Phase 2 Emergency Drainage Upgrades and Sitework” at School 16, Project No. 10952, and
WHEREAS such bids were duly examined and as a result the administration has determined that Abbott & Price, Inc., is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder with a bid of $415,610.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to award Bid No. 7143 General Construction Contract, for the “Phase 2 Emergency Drainage Upgrades and Sitework” at School 16, Project No. 10952 to Abbott & Price, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $415,610.00 for a term of 180 calendar days.
