Rationale:
|
This is to authorize Change Order 4 to annual service Contract 2021-0139, “Maintenance and Repair of Oil Burners and Boilers,” with Ultimate Power, Inc.
CO4 will extend the contract for one year and add funds to the FY22 contract term to pay for the removal and replacement of 2 condensate pumps at Kahlil Gibran School 28.
This will add $716,000.00 for the extension and $118,860.00 for the work at Kahlil Gibran School increasing the contract from $1,733,109.50 to $2,567,969.50 and add another 365 calendar days to the term increasing it to 1,095.
By Resolution 15.13 dated July 15, 2020 Contract 2021-0139, “Maintenance and Repair of Oil Burners and Boilers” was awarded to Ultimate Power, Inc. for $716,000.00 and a term of 365 calendar days.
Change Order 1 was authorized by RES 23.22 dated April 21, 2021. This was to provide for pump work at Charles C Gorton High School, School 22 and School 30 increasing the contract by $148,846.00 to $864,846.00 with no change in term.
Change Order 2 was authorized by RES 16.7 dated June 16, 2021. This extended the contract for another year. This increased the contract by $716,000.00 to $1,580,846.00 and increased the term to 730 calendar days.
Change Order 3 was authorized by RES 14.9 November 17, 2021. This added $152,263.50 for work at Rosemarie Anne Siragusa School and School 31 increasing the total to $1,733,109.50. The term remained at 730 calendar days.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: via Resolution 15.13 dated July 15, 2020 the Board authorized the award of contract 2021-‘0139 “Maintenance and Repair of Oil Burners & Boilers,” to Ultimate Power, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $716,000.00 for a term of 365 days, and
WHEREAS: via Resolution 23.22 dated April 21, 2021 the Board authorized Change Order 1 to add $148,846.00 in funds increasing the contract to $864,846.00 with no change in term, and
WHEREAS: via Resolution 16.7 dated June 16, 2021 the Board authorized Change Order 2 to extend the contract by one year under the same terms and conditions increasing the contract amount by $716,000.00 to $1,580,846.00 and the term by 365 to 730 calendar days, and
WHEREAS: via Resolution 14.9 dated November 17, 2021, the Board authorized Change Order 3 for $152,263.50 increasing the contract from $1,580,846.00 to $1,733,109.50 with no change in term, and
WHEREAS: Change Order 4 is recommended to be authorized to extend the contract for one year and add funds to the FY22 contract term to pay for the removal and replacement of 2 condensate pumps at Kahlil Gibran School 28. $2,567,969.50 and add another 365 calendar days to the term increasing it to 1,095 calendar days.
