Rationale:
|
By Board Resolution Item 16.32 dated June 16, 2021 the Board of Trustees authorized the award of contract 2022-0065 for “Maintenance and Repair of HVAC Controls” to Energy Management of Facilities, Inc., (EMF) for $933,600.00 and 365 calendar days.
By Board Resolution Item 20.29 dated June 14, 2022 the Board of Trustees authorized the first amendment to contract 2022-0065 for extension per the contract documents.
A second amendment is required to facilitate the payment of invoices for change order work that was completed prior to the first extension but not invoiced. This work includes: Cross Hill Academy Fire Remediation of Controls for $10,054.25, Emergency work to repair coil freeze ups at Ella Fitzgerald Academy for $14,625.00 and district-wide upgrades to the Andover Building Management System for $3,936.00.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: By Board Resolution Item 16.32 dated June 16, 2021 the Board of Trustees authorized the award of contract 2022-0065 for “Maintenance and Repair of HVAC Controls” to Energy Management of Facilities, Inc., (EMF) for $933,600.00 and 365 calendar days.
WHEREAS: By Board Resolution Item 20.29 dated June 14, 2022 the Board of Trustees authorized the first amendment to contract 2022-0065 for the first annual extension increasing the contract to $1,867,200 and the term to 730 calendar days, and
WHEREAS: Work under this contract was completed and duly accepted by the District during the first year of the contract but not invoiced as required, and
WHEREAS: This work includes: Cross-Hill Academy Fire Remediation of Controls for $10,054.25, Emergency work to repair coil freeze ups at Ella Fitzgerald Academy for $14,625.00 and district-wide upgrades to the Andover Building Management System for $3,936.00 for a total of $28,615.25 in outstanding invoices.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to approve change order 1 amendment 2 to Contract 2022-00000065 for “Maintenance and Repair of HVAC Controls” to Energy Management of Facilities, Inc., 581 North State Road STE 6 Briarcliff Manor NY 10510 increasing the contract from $1,867,200 to 1,895,815.25 with no change in term.
