Rationale:
|
The stage curtains at the Yonkers Montessori Academy have deteriorated to the point of being a useless eyesore and need to be replaced. This is to be done under Southern Westchester BOCES Contract 2021-22-C10 by AT Equipment Sales for $24,050.13.
The stage curtain motor is no longer operational and also needs to be replaced. This is to be done on a piggyback to a South Hampton Union Free School District’s Stage Curtain Inspection, Cleaning and Repair Contract (Bid No. SPS20-007).

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: The stage curtains at Yonkers Montessori Academy are heavily used as part of the scholastic programs and,
WHEREAS: these curtains have deteriorated to the point of being unusable, and
WHEREAS, these curtains are available for purchase through the Southern Westchester BOCES Contract No. 2021-22-C10 Item P4 at an acceptable price from AT Equipment Sales, and
WHEREAS, the curtain motor is available for purchase through a piggyback of the South Hampton Union Free School District’s Stage Curtain Inspection, Cleaning and Repair Contract (Bid No. SPS20-007), and
WHEREAS: in accordance with General Municipal Law, the district is permitted to avail itself of the goods and services as awarded in this contract.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the award to “Furnish and Install New Stage Curtains” at Yonkers Montessori Academy be awarded to AT Equipment Sales, 180 Brook Street, Scarsdale, NY 10583 through Southern Westchester BOCES Contract 2021-22-C10 Item P4 in an amount not to exceed $24,050.13 and a term of 180 calendar days.
