Number Worlds diagnoses skill gaps for students in need of Tier 2 and Tier 3 Intervention. Once these gaps have been identified across multiple mathematical domains, the program provides both digital and print resources to support teachers and students in filling the gaps with the goal of bringing students to grade-level proficiency. Participating schools will be YMHS, Thomas Cornell Academy, Martin Luther King Jr. Academy, School 16, School 17, Cross Hill Academy, School 23 and Museum School 25.

Resolution: WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with McGraw Hill, LLC for K-8 math intervention to support students testing below grade-level. Participating schools will be YMHS, Thomas Cornell Academy, Martin Luther King Jr. Academy, School 16, School 17, Cross Hill Academy, School 23 and Museum School 25.


WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction McGraw Hill, LLC a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,

WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with McGraw Hill, LLC to provide these services, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with McGraw Hill, LLC at a cost not to exceed $71,128.14.

It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
