Rationale:
|
This is to award a Purchase Order as referenced above as per the attached emergency declaration for “Procurement of Goods & Services for COVID19 Response” issued by the Superintendent on July 27, 2020.
This is to provide on-call plumbing services to replace or installing new plumbing fixtures (ie: water fountains) or other plumbing alterations as needed for the safe re-opening of school during this pandemic.
Bids are not required under an emergency declaration but request for quotations (RFQs) were issued to 4 vendors with intentions to award multiple vendors as deemed necessary to meet the demand for the District Wide COVID Emergency Plumbing Upgrades & Alterations. Bids were received on August 5, 2020 and Joe Lombardo Plumbing & Heating of Rockland, Inc. was the sole bidder.
This is to award the subject PO which is to be implemented on a “Time and Material” and “when and where” basis for up to $213,225.00 for the District Wide COVID Emergency Plumbing Upgrades & Alterations.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: An Emergency Declaration was issued on July 27, 2020 for “Procurement of Goods & Services for COVID19 Response”, and
WHEREAS: Under this emergency declaration the District solicited under RFQ-6538 “District Wide COVID Emergency Plumbing Upgrades & Alterations” services for an amount up $213,225.00, and
WHEREAS: Joe Lombardo Plumbing & Heating of Rockland, Inc. indicated that they were capable and ready to make such services at the solicited prices.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to award the above CAPITAL FUND Purchase Order for On-Call Plumbing Services under Emergency Declaration for CIP 10899 “District Wide COVID Emergency Plumbing Upgrades & Alterations” to Joe Lombardo Plumbing & Heating of Rockland, Inc in an amount not to exceed $213,225.00. Term is for 365 calendar days.
