Rationale:
|
A change order is a written agreement between the District and its contractor to change a building construction contract. They add to, delete from, or otherwise alter the work and/or progress schedule in the contract bid documents. CO’s are caused by any of three situations that can arise on a project: unforeseen conditions, design errors and omissions and owner directed extra work.
This is a credit Change Order for the unused remaining balance of $14,211.33 from a $50,000.00 contingency allowance.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS by Resolution Board Item No. 21.4 at the Board of Trustees stated meeting on June 19, 2018, Contract No. 2019-‘0929 was recommended for award to Pierotti Corp., 84 Calvert Street, Harrison, NY 10528 and,
WHEREAS: in the course of executing the contracted work it was determined that additional allowance work was not required to be performed for a credit in the amount of $14,211.33.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to issue Change Order 1 to contract No. 2019-00000929, CIP10843 “Community Health Center Improvements” at ML King School to Pierotti Corp. for a CREDIT in the amount of $14,211.33, decreasing the overall cost of the contract from $657,200.00 to $642,988.67.
