Rationale:
|
Via Resolution 15.3 dated March 16, 2022, the Board of Trustees authorized the extension of Contract 2020-0628 for Architectural and Engineering Services to Fuller and D’Angelo Architects by 365 calendar days to 3 years and increased the upset contract amount to $2 million.
An emergency declaration for “School 16 Flooding” was issued by the Superintendent on August 11, 2022 to replace failed structures that have caused flooding to rooms 10 and 12. All work is complete.
This is to assign the architectural design and permitting for CIP 10952 “Emergency Flood Remediation Work” at School 16 to Fuller & D’Angelo Architects for $9,300 and a term of 365 calendar days under contract 2020-0628.
Fuller & D’Angelo is to conduct surveys, review existing conditions and develop designs for SED permit and construction documents.
Scope of work is to include but is not necessarily limited to removal and replacement of existing stairs and drainage basins in areaway exit from classrooms 12 and 14, replacement of concrete slab and drainage basin at areaway from classroom 10, installation of new catch basin in parking area, new asphalt to facilitate for proper grading and drainage to new basin, and removal and replacement of interior corridor slab at basement corridor to replace damage under slab piping. The construction is estimated at $120,000.00.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: By Resolution 15.15 dated February 26, 2020, the Board of Trustees authorized the award of Contract 2020-0628 for Architectural and Engineering Services to Fuller & D’Angelo Architects for $1 million and a term of three years, and
WHEREAS: By Resolution 15.3 dated March 16, 2022 the Board of Education authorized amendment to increase contract amount to $2 million and the term to four years, and
WHEREAS: Work as described in contract 2020-0628 is required of Fuller and D’Angelo Architects in response to the issuance of the Emergency Declaration for “School 16 Flooding” dated August 11, 2022, and
WHEREAS: The response by Fuller & D’Angelo P.C., (F&D) was deemed most advantageous to the District at a cost not to exceed $9,300.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to assign the architectural work for CIP 10952, “Emergency Flood Remediation” at School 16 to Fuller and D’Angelo P.C. Architects and Planners, Road 45 Knollwood Road, Elmsford, New York 10523 for $9,300 for a term of 365 calendar days.
