Details of New Amendment: Amending RES. # 17.8 of BOE Meeting 10.16.2024 and BOCS meeting of 10.22.2024. Classroom Libraries will be purchased for all district kindergarten classrooms. Scholastic classroom libraries will include libraries titled Best New Books in Español, Custom Single Titles Collections for Boys, and Custom Single Titles for Girls.

Resolution:

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Scholastic Education Solutions to purchase classroom libraries for all district kindergarten classrooms.
WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Scholastic Education Solutions a program that meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and
WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to amend the contract of $11,995.00 from RES #17.8 of BOE Meeting 10.16.2024 and BOCS meeting 10.22.2024 by an additional amount of $23,930.12 to cover the costs of purchasing classroom libraries for all district kindergarten classrooms, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Scholastic Education Solutions for the purchase of kindergarten classroom libraries for a cost not to exceed $35,925.12. This contract will be increasing by $23,930.12.
