Rationale: This is to award capital fund construction work CIP 10910 “Installation of Auditorium Seating” at Lincoln High School to Nickerson Corporation for $300,000.00 for a term of 365 calendar days.

This is to furnish and install 1,095 seats in the Lincoln High Auditorium at a cost of $271,061.43 plus a District-owned and directed contingency fund of $28,938.57 for a total contract amount of $300,000.00.

Procurement is from Nickerson Corporation via District membership in the Sourcewell Cooperative Purchasing Services contract 091719. The seats are manufactured by Hussey Seating Company, North Berwick, Maine.

Partial funding is though a $250,000 NYS Economic Development Assistance Program (EDAP) grant to improve the auditorium at Lincoln High School. The District will fund the balance.

Resolution: Ladies and Gentlemen:

WHEREAS: in accordance with General Municipal Law, the administration recommends a new contract with Nickerson Corporation, certified dealer to Hussey, using Hussey Seating Sourcewell Cooperative Purchasing Contract for installation of auditorium seats, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Superintendent of Schools is authorized to award a contract for CIP10910, “Installation of Auditorium seating at Lincoln High School” to Nickerson Corporation, 11 Moffitt Boulevard, Bay Shore, NY 11706 for $300,000.00 for a term of 365 calendar days.
