The Hudson River Museum- Amendment 1 ( (BOE Approved 10/30/24)(BOCS approved 11-19-24)Contract # 2025-00000492) wishes to amend an existing contract to include services for Museum School 25. In the 2024-2025 school year, we will work with the staff and administration of Museum School 25 to strengthen our partnership. This partnership will focus on the history, science, and art of the Hudson River, enhancing the curriculum for all grade levels.

Hudson River Museum will provide teachers, students, and families access to the resources of the Hudson River Museum, including its diverse exhibitions and collections. This program will also support the social and emotional needs of all students. It will help build their cognitive and communication skills and teach creative arts, allowing them to express themselves in different ways.

Resolution: WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to amend an existing contract with Hudson River Museum to purchase additional consulting services to collaborate with Museum School 25 to strengthen our partnership focused on the Hudson River's history, science, and art, enhancing the curriculum for all grades. The Hudson River Museum will provide access to its exhibitions and collections for teachers, students, and families. This program will also address students' social and emotional needs, helping to build cognitive and communication skills while fostering self-expression through creative arts, for the 2024-2025 school year,

WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Hudson River Museum a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,

WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to amend an existing agreement with Hudson River Museum to provide these services, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to amend an existing agreement with Hudson River Museum at an additional of $38,115.50, increasing the total amount not to exceed $68.115.50.
