Scope: Change Order 2 for CIP 10876 “Phase 1 of 2 for Window Replacement, Masonry, Interior Improvements & Site Work” at Family School 32 in the amount of $88,615.48, increasing Contract No. 2024-0794 to $1,618,215.48 with no change in contract term.
Change Order 2 work for CIP 10876 includes unforeseen conditions in the amount of $57,645.24, owner directed work in the amount of $34,286.53 and errors & omissions by the AE (disputed) in the amount of $31,683.71. For Change Order 2, the total amount is $123,615.48, less a contract contingency of $35,000.00, requires a contract change order in the amount of $88,615.48.

Resolution:

WHEREAS via resolution 18.13 dated April 17, 2024, the Board of Education authorized the award of Contract No. 2024-0794 for 10876 “Phase 1 of 2 for Window Replacement, Masonry, Interior Improvements & Site Work” at Family School 32 for $1,523,900.00 and a term of 1,000 calendar days, and
WHEREAS by resolution 9.12 dated August 21, 2024, the Board of Education authorized Change Order 1 for $5,700.00, increasing the contract from $1,523,900 to $1,529,600.00 with no change in term, and
WHEREAS additional work is required for CIP 10876 in the amount of $88,615.48 of which is, increasing the contract from $1,529,600.00 to $1,618,215.48.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to issue Change Order 2 to Contract No. 2024-0794 for CIP 10876 “Phase 1 of 2 for Window Replacement, Masonry, Interior Improvements & Site Work” at Family School 32 to Hull Construction and Restoration, Inc., for the amount of $88,615.48, increasing the contract amount from $1,529,600.00 to $1,618,215.48 and no change in contract term.
