Amount: ($14,269.11)
Scope: Change Order 1 CREDIT for CIP 10878 “Heat Plant, HVAC Upgrades & Asbestos Abatement” – Phase 2 at Westchester Hills School 29 in the amount of ($14,269.11), decreasing the contract to $151,730.89 with no change in contract term. All work is complete.
Change Order Proposal (COP) COP-PL-1 & 3 are for additional work: to restore failed duplex sump pumps in the new addition Boiler Room and repair a broken 4” storm drain in the dirt crawl space. These total in the amount of $4,167.79.
Change Order Proposal COP-PL-2 is a credit for deleted scope of work whereby Facilities Management deleted 25 linear feet 4” drain pipe and one 4” floor drain. This credit is for the amount of ($3,436.90).
The amount of extra work is $4,167.79, less the contract contingency of $15,000.00 and credit for deleted work of ($3,436.90) totals a balance change order credit of ($14,269.11).

Resolution:

WHEREAS by Resolution 15.7 dated February 15, 2023, the Board of Education authorized the award of Contract 2023-0635 for CIP 10878 “Heat Plant, HVAC Upgrades & Asbestos Abatement” – Phase 2 at Westchester Hills School 29 to Joe Lombardo Plumbing & Heating of Rockland, Inc. for $166,000.00 and a term of 365 calendar days, and
WHEREAS in the course of executing the contracted work it was determined that additional work was required to be performed, and
WHEREAS the fee for this added work is $4,167.79, less the contract contingency of $15,000.00 and credit for deleted work of ($3,436.90) totals a balance change order credit of ($14,269.11), decreasing the contract to $151,730.89, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to issue Change Order 1 CREDIT to Contract 2023-0635, CIP 10878 “Heat Plant, HVAC Upgrades & Asbestos Abatement” – Phase 2 at Westchester Hills School 29 to Joe Lombardo Plumbing & Heating of Rockland, Inc. for ($14,269.11), decreasing the contract to $151,730.89 with no change in contract term.
