Rationale:
|
This change order brings the final total of the contract 2021-0194 to $1,250,000.00. All work is completed. Work was done under emergency declaration “Procurement of Goods & Services for COVID19 Response” issued by the Superintendent on July 27, 2020 and last amended on December 10, 2020.
This resolution is to confirm that financing of the work done under this contract.
Original amount: $158,100.00, CO1 was for $450,000 and CO2 was for $641,900.000 for a total of $1,250,000.00.
Atlantic Westchester, Inc. was issued award of Contract 2021-0194 under Resolution 14.3 at the September 16, 2020 BOE stated meeting.
The additional work is for District directed HVAC improvements to provide ventilation conditions that allowed the buildings to be opened for use under COVID19 restrictions.
Atlantic Westchester worked on Schools: 13, 14, 15, 18, 21, 22, 25, 32, Cross Hill, PEARLS, YMA, Lincoln, Gorton, and Cesar Chavez. The scope of work includes but is not limited to HVAC work for the restoration and/or replacement of exhaust fan systems. air handlers, unit ventilators, and HVAC controls.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS by Resolution Board Item No. 14.3 at the Board of Trustees stated meeting on September 16, 2020, Contract No. 2021-0194 in the amount of $158,100 was recommended for award to Altlantic Westchester, Inc., 264 Adams St., Bedford Hills, NY 10507 and,
WHEREAS: in the course of executing the contracted work it was determined that additional work was required to be performed in the amount of $1,091,900.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to issue Change Order 1 and 2 to Contract No. 2021-0194 CIP10901 HVAC Work for “COVID19 Related HVAC Improvements” Districtwide under Emergency Declaration to Atlantic Westchester, Inc., 264 Adams St., Bedford Hills, NY 10507 for 1,091,900 increasing the contract amount from $158,100 to $1,250,000.00 with no change in term.
