Rationale:
|
This resolution is to grant the administration the authority to enter into subject contract.
In compliance with General Municipal Law 103, this contract was let for public bid with bid opening on July 10, 2020 and Pierotti was the lowest bidder of 6 bids. Bids were examined and all due diligence observed in determining the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
This improvement work was originally bid as alternate work under CIP10841 for the 2019 construction season however bids had exceeded budget and bidding law (Wick’s) constraints and the alternate work was omitted from the project. The engineer’s estimate for this remaining scope was $420,000.00.
After interviewing the low bidder and confirming that they understood the scope of work, bid was found to be correct, references checked: CPL Architects, the construction manager and Schools Facilities Management are recommending this award.
CONTRACT 1 of 1, GENERAL CONSTRUCTION includes but is not limited to the replacement of auditorium house lighting, refinishing the stage floor, replacing the music room carpeting, replacing the gym bleachers and restoring finishes under same.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: bids were issued for public advertisement and opened on July 10, 2020 in compliance with General Municipal Law for Bid No. 6506 GENERAL CONSTRUCTION Work, CONTRACT 1 OF 1 for the “Community Health Center” at Cross Hill Academy Project No. 10841, and
WHEREAS: such bids were duly examined and as a result of this examination of the bids submitted, the administration has determined that Pierotti Corp., is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder with a bid of $358,000.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that Bid No. 6506 GENERAL CONSTRUCTION Work, Contract 1 of 1, for Project No. 10841 “Auditorium, Gym and Music Room Improvements” at Cross Hill Academy to Pierotti Corp., 84 Calvert St., Suite 2B, Harrison, NY 10528 in an amount not to exceed $358,000.00 for a term of 365 calendar days.
