Rationale:
|
Bids for RFB 6760A were publicly advertised, received and opened on July 13, 2022. Three bids were received. The lowest bidder did not meet bid qualification and was rejected. The 2nd lowest bidder withdrew their bid, and the third highest bidder had an error in their bid which was corrected and lowered from $117,000.00 to $94,500.00
The work includes replacement of damaged window and door glazing on an as needed basis, district wide.
This is the annual service contract, with the provision for renewal for up to two additional years by mutual consent under the same terms and conditions for the window and door glazing replacement as needed.
Suburban Sunrooms Inc. has passed all vetting, and reference checks. This company has successfully completed work for the Yonkers Public Schools District previously.

WHEREAS: In compliance with NYS General Municipal Law 103 bids were duly solicited, opened in public and read aloud on July 13, 2022 for Bid 6760A, and
WHEREAS: Three bids were received, and from the third highest bidder, Suburban Sunrooms Inc., bid was corrected and lowered to $94,500.00
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is authorized to enter into a contract for Bid No. 6760A, “On-Call Window and Door Glazing Replacement” to Suburban Sunrooms Inc., 83 East Main St, Elmsford, NY 10523, for $94,500.00 for a term of 365 calendar days.
