Rationale:
|
This is to authorize Amendment Five (5) to Capital Contract 618507 for Professional Construction Management Services on a Requirements Basis to Savin Engineers in the amount of $250,000.00 increasing the total contract to $4,245,938 with no change to the term.
This is to provide funding coverage to complete assigned tasks School 8, School 9, School 16 as well as future assignments. Funds will be spent on an as needed basis.

Ladies and Gentlemen;
WHEREAS: Via Resolution 17.7 dated March 16, 2016 the Board authorized the award of contract 618507 for “Professional Construction Management Services on a Requirements Basis” to Savin Engineers PC, the amount of $1 million and a term of 1,095 calendar days, and
WHEREAS: Via Resolution 22.31 dated June 19, 2018 the Board authorized Amendment 1 to said contract increasing the amount to $2,000,000.00 and the term to 1,460 calendar days, and
WHEREAS: Via Resolution 18.6 dated November 20, 2018 the Board authorized Amendment 2 to said contract increasing the amount to $3,000,000.00 and the term to 1,825 calendar days, and
WHEREAS: via Resolution 18.5 dated December 18, 2019 the Board authorized Amendment 3 to said contract increasing the amount to $3,995,938.00 and the term to 2,190 calendar days, and
WHEREAS: via Resolution 23.23 dated April 21, 2021 the Board authorized Amendment 4 maintaining the amount at $4,000,000.00 and increasing the term to 2,555 calendar days, and
WHEREAS: The District has a need for on-going professional construction management services for the maintenance and improvement of its physical plant, and
WHEREAS: additional funding in the amount of $250,000.00 is required to complete existing and future tasks with no change to the contract term.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of School be authorized to execute a fifth amendment to Contract 618507 for Professional Construction Management Services on a Requirements Basis to Savin Engineers, PC to in the amount of $250,000.00 increasing the current contract amount from $3,995,938.00 to $4,245,938.00 with no extension to the current term of April 29, 2022
