Amount: $933,600.00
Scope: To authorize Amendment 5 to the General Fund Service Contract No. 2022-0065 for “Maintenance and Repair of HVAC Controls” to Energy Management of Facilities, Inc., (EMF) for $933,600.00.
This extension is for the third of five contractually available annual extensions.
This is an on-call service as-needed or requirements contract. The vendor performs only as directed by the District.

WHEREAS via Board Resolution 16.32 dated June 16, 2021, Contract No. 2022-0065 “Maintenance and Repair of HVAC Controls” was awarded to Energy Management of Facilities, Inc., (EMF) for $933,600.00 (with 5 possible extensions) and 365 calendar days, and
WHEREAS via Board Resolution 20.29 dated June 14, 2022, this contract was extended for one year (1 of 5 possible extensions), increasing the contract to $1,867,200.00 and the term to 730 calendar days, and
WHEREAS via Board Resolution 17.4 dated August 17, 2022, Change Order 1 was issued in the amount of $28,615.25, increasing the contract to $1,895,815.25 with no change in terms, and
WHEREAS via Board Resolution 19.30 dated June 21, 2023, this contract was extended for a second time (2 of 5 possible extensions), increasing the contract to $2,829,415.25 and the contract term to 1,095 calendar days, and
WHEREAS via Board Resolution 16.17 dated July 19, 2023, Change Order 2 was issued in the amount of $28,720.24, increasing the contract to $2,858,135.49 with no change in terms, and
WHEREA there is mutual consent of the parties to extend said contract for the third one-year period (3 of 5 possible extensions).
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to extend Contract No. 2022-0065 for “Maintenance and Repair of HVAC Controls” to Energy Management of Facilities, Inc., for the third time by $933,600.00, increasing the amount to $3,791,735.49 and the term to 1,460 calendar days.
