Rationale:
|
In compliance with General Municipal Law 103, this contract was let for public bid and bids were opened in public and read aloud on January 15, 2021. A total of 6 bids were received, with the highest bidder at $370,285.00 the average at $247,150.83. The work was designed by CPL Architects and was estimated to be approximately $159,600.00
After interviewing the apparent low bidder and confirming that they understood the scope of work, their bids were found to be correct, confirmed references, CPL Architects, Savin Engineers and this Department are recommending the award of the subject contract to Intricate Tech Solutions, Inc Abbott and Price, Inc.
This Contract 3 of 5 for HVAC work including but not limited to upgrades to unit ventilators and air handling equipment.
Overall, CIP 10845 includes replacement of select masonry façade & roofing, new site storm drain system, restoration of flooring, ceilings, lights, doors & interior finishes in the gym and ground floor classrooms, (including requisite asbestos work), installation of new public address and “high tech” security systems. The project value is estimated at $3.3 million

WHEREAS: in compliance with General Municipal Law 103 public bids opened on January 15, 2021 for RFB 6574 Contract 3 of 5 HVAC Work for CIP10845, “Restoration of Building Envelope , Interiors ,Security and Site” at School 16, and
WHEREAS: six (6) bids were received and read aloud in public on January 15, 2021, and
WHEREAS: such bids were duly examined and as a result the administration has determined that Intricate Tech Solutions, Inc is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder at $147,000.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that Contract RFB 6574, Contract 3 of 5 HVAC Work CIP10845, “Restoration of Building Envelope, Interiors, Security and Site Drainage” at School 16, to Intricate Tech Solutions, Inc., Farmingdale, New York for $147,000.00 for a term of 365 calendar days.
