Scope: Electrical construction contract work at Martin Luther King Jr. Academy includes; lighting replacement for Main Offices, Main Entrance Corridor; power work for all classroom window AC Units; exterior lighting improvements; power work for the Main Office, Main Entrance Corridor and Cafeteria HVAC upgrades; new High-Tech Security and alternate bid work for kitchen lighting replacement.
Overview:
In compliance with General Municipal Law 103, bids were let and opened in public on February 15, 2024. Two (2) bids were received, examined and all due diligence observed in determining that Fran Corp (d/b/a All Bright Electric) is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The work was designed by Eisenbach & Ruhnke Engineering, P.C. who estimated the value of the work at $1,271,500. The highest bid was $987,888.

WHEREAS bids were issued for public advertisement and opened on February 15, 2024 in compliance with General Municipal Law 103 for Bid No. 7084 ELECTRICAL Work, (Contract 4) for the “Roof Replacement and Select Interior Upgrades - Roof, Heating Plant, Window Replacement and Interior Upgrades” at Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy, Project No. 10875, and
WHEREAS such bids were duly examined and as a result the administration has determined that Fran Corp (d/b/a All Bright Electric) is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder with a bid of $627,000.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to award Bid No. 7084 ELECTRICAL Work, (Contract 4), for Project No. 10875 “Roof Replacement and Select Interior Upgrades - Roof, Heating Plant, Window Replacement and Interior Upgrades” at Martin Luther King,
