|
This was publically bid per NYSGML 103 and awarded to Markley Mechanical via Board Resolution 16.8 on March 22, 2018 for $294,000.00 and a term of 365 calendar days.
It is a contract for licensed plumbing services under a time and materials basis for the conversion of select schools from fuel oil to natural gas. The contract provides for time extension by the mutual consent with no changes to the terms and conditions for up to two additional years and is being invoked for third term of 356 calendar days.
This is capital funded. There is no change in funding required. |

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: bids for RFP 6210 were solicited and opened on November 17, 2017, in compliance with General Municipal Law for “Plumbing Work for the Conversion of Yonkers Public School Facilities from Fuel Oil to Natural Gas” and,
WHEREAS: as a result of an examination of the bids submitted, the administration recommended the award to the lowest responsible bidder, and
WHEREAS: Board Item 16.8, dated March 22, 2018, was approved awarding a contract to Sun-Dance Energy Contractors., d/b/a/Markley Mechanical in the amount of $294,000, and
WHEREAS: further services entailed in the contract was desired of the District at the end of the first annual term, and
WHEREAS: bid specifications provide for annual extensions by the mutual consent of both parties under the same terms and conditions of the original contract for up to two additional years, and
WHEREAS; Board Item No 21.3 dated July 17, 2019 was approved extending the contract for one calendar year, and
WHEREAS: further services entailed in the contract was desired of the District at the end of the second annual term, and
WHEREAS; both parties agree to the second and final continuation extending the contract for a third year.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to amend Contract No. 2018-00000736 with Sun-Dance Energy Contractors., d/b/a/Markley Mechanical, 424 Central Avenue, Peekskill, NY 10566 for a third year. |
