Details of New Amendment: Amending RES. #15.8 of BOE Meeting 10.16.2024 and BOCS meeting of 10.22.2024. Imagine Learning, LLC provides reading intervention products through 8th grade. The Sonday System 1 kit serves students through 2nd grade and the Sonday System 2 kit serves students 3rd through 8th grades. Reading teachers who serve grades K-8 will be equipped with Sonday System 1 and 2 kits as well as receive professional learning associated with each kit.

Resolution:

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Imagine Learning, LLC to purchase reading intervention materials (Sonday System 1 and 2) to support early literacy instruction for the 2024-2025 school year,
WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Imagine Learning, LLC (Sonday System 1 and 2), a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,
WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to amend the contract of $53,950.00 from RES. #15.8 of BOE Meeting 10.16.2024 and BOCS meeting of 10.22.2024 by an additional amount of $63,513.00 to cover the costs of additional materials and professional learning provided by Imagine Learning, LLC (Sonday System 1 and 2), and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Imagine Learning, LLC (Sonday System 1 and 2) at a cost not to exceed $117,463.00. This contract will be increasing by $63,513.00.
It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
