Payable over six-year contract: $431,696.35 per year from 2025-2026 through 2030-2031.

Scope: HMH Education Company, Inc. will provide instructional materials and implementation support for their ELA core curriculum, Into Reading/Arriba la Lectura in kindergarten through second grade across all district schools. Enrico Fermi School, which served as a pilot site for HMH Into Reading/Arriba la Lectura during the 2024-25 school year, will begin implementation of the program in grades three through six during the 2025-26 school year with all other district 3rd-6th grade classrooms beginning in the 2026-27 school year and ending in 2030-2031 school year.

Resolution: WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into contract with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing Company (HMH) to provide ELA core curriculum Into Reading/Arriba la Lectura instructional materials and implementation support services in all district kindergarten through second grade classrooms and third through sixth grade classrooms at Enrico Fermi School beginning SY 2025-26 for the duration of a six-year contract ending in the 2030-2031 school year.

WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing Company (HMH) a program that meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and

WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing Company (HMH) to provide these services, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with HMH Education Company, Inc. for HMH Into Reading/Arriba la Lectura curriculum implementation for a contract length of six years in K-2 districtwide classrooms for $2,469,241.98 and for Enrico Fermi School grade 3-6 classrooms for $120,936.12 for a total amount not to exceed $2,590,178.10.
